As tonight heralds the New Moon, it is time for me to make my second New Moon Resolution. My first was made back in December, and I feel it has been rather a success.
For those who do not know quite what I’m talking out, please allow me to explain. Rather than make one, (or several) resolutions with the beginning of the calendar year, I decided to walk a different path. New Moons are times of new beginnings, so starting with the moon following the Winter Solstice (December 21st) I pledged to make a new resolution for each successive moon. You can find more details on the original post.
But the time has come around for me to make my second. There are so many options for me to choose from, and I have spent the past few days trying to decide which one would benefit me most. Then I had an idea. I am the first to admit I am not the most organised person. I often forget things, and am prone to long-lasting periods of procrastination. That in itself made my decision for me.
I have chosen to make this moon’s resolution more applicable to everyday life than the one before; I’m going to keep a weekly “Task List”.
Similar to a To-Do list—something I’m sure you’re familiar with—but with less pressure behind it. My hope is that this Task List will serve as a gentle reminder of things I have to get done, whenever I have the time or opportunity. In theory, I’ll spend less time procrastinating, or wondering what it is that I should be doing, rather than doing something.
So, fingers crossed that this moon’s resolution goes as well as the last one!
If you’ve chosen to make a resolution too, I’d love to hear about it in the comments.
